The 11th of October saw STHLM Music City’s third meetup, taking place at SUP46 and co-hosted by the British Swedish Chamber of Commerce. After an overview of the future of music tech, we welcomed Spotify’s Director of Label Relations Nordics, Eva Lægdsgaard Madsen who flew in from Copenhagen to talk about the ways in which Spotify is using technology to facilitate Nordic music exports.
We also announced our exciting new partnership with Slush, the world’s largest tech conference, with the Slush Music team flying in from Helsinki to announce our collaboration.
Then the party really got started with a demonstration from Pacemaker, the innovative and exciting Stockholm-based DJ app taking the world by storm. It was great to see our fast growing community of music creators, music tech innovators and music industry professionals coming together to support each other and hear the success stories of others in the Stockholm music tech ecosystem and listening to good news announcements from companies such as Mind Music Labs, Soundtrap and Venue who are going from strength to strength.
Thank you to our wonderful event sponsors Beerhive, Saffron Cooks, Humm Komucha, Åre Water and Design Lab for their amazing products and services.
